Linden Tigers Midget Small Novice cheer squad of the North Jersey League began its climb in 2011 season by winning first place at the Local North Jersey competition and then moving on to place first in Regional reigning the Regional champs and the right to travel to Florida to compete in the Nationals. This was the small team with a big dream first time ever winning Regional! The team had to travel by train while most travel by air. But the tedious 22 hour train ride did not stop their hard work and determination that earned them 1st place in Nationals making them the National Champs! The Linden Tigers made history being the first team to place 1st at Nationals for North Jersey! Congratulation to the Linden Tigers cheerleaders and their coaches!
The Linden Tigers Midget Cheer Squad was honored by the city of Linden On April 24, 2012, for their accomplishment of becoming National Champs of Pop Warner. The team and coaches were presented a Resolution and honored by the Mayor of Linden, Council president and Council board members in front of a court room full of Linden residents. The winning team and coaches took a picture with Mayor Gerbounka and Councilman Armstead.
Rahway Lady Chiefs of the North Jersey League are no strangers to winning competitions and in the 2011 season this year was no different for their organization. But one team stood out, the Lady Chiefs Pee Wee Medium Novice team. Not only did they win 1st place in the local North Jersey competition, they also placed as Regional winners earning their right to travel to Florida to compete in the Nationals. The Lady Chiefs put in hard work and they placed as the 6th best team in the Nation! Congratulations to The Rahway Lady Chiefs cheerleaders and their coaches!
